Prodigy is always being picked at school. No love story, no in-crowd, specially nothing more than a person with sufficient storage of brain that can't be overloaded. But this kind of wanted-to-matter prodigy, Colin Singleton is the one who always got dumped by 9 lettered name : K - A - T - H - E - R - I - N - E.
After got dumped by the 19th Kathrine (K-19), Colin decided to take a road trip for no idea how long, with his muslim friend, Hasan. They drove for several times and they stopped at a general store in Gutshot, Tennessee. He never knew that his big change of life might start here. He wanted to be a genius, to learn from his past relationships with those Ks, in urge to finish his formula about relationship prediction, the most important to predict the possibility, when will the relationship end.
He worked for the biggest textile industry in Gutshot, stayed in the owner's house, and hung out with the owner's only daughter, Lindsay Lee Wells. Somehow Lindsay had changed Colin so much, from a nerdy freak prodigy, into worthy smart guy.
Maybe he got enough of Kathrines, he started a new life, with his first Lindsay, eventually. Hasan decided to go to college after a gap year. He counted the future of him and Lindsay I with the formula, and was so afraid because according to the formula, it would end in four days.
IT WAS WRONG.
One important thing he learned after all, future is unpredictable.
