Wow. One of the best movies in the beginning of 2014. EPIC!

Took place in the destroyed Chicago, citizens were divided into 5 factions according to their virtues. There were Erudite for Geniuses, Candor for The Truthful, Abnegation for The Selfless, Amity for The Kind, and Dauntless for The Braves or for those who didn't belong anywhere,  Factionless.  When a person reached the age of 16, they were required to do Aptitude Test to see where do they belong. 

Beatrice "Tris"  Prior, born as Abnegation never thought she was different. Her brother, Caleb Prior and her took the test together. She was told that she was different, people could not control her. They call it, Divergent. When the Choosing Ceremony Day came, she chose to be Dauntless, what she had been dreaming of, with her brother chose Erudite. 

She practiced, trained, taking risks, to hide that she is Divergent, because Erudite were planning to kill Divergent, to prevent any rebellion. With the help of Four, who happened to be Marcus Eaton's son, Tobias Eaton, and later her boyfriend or so, she passed the test. 

The Erudite was thinking about destroying Abnegation so they could take control of the government. They built army out of Dauntless by injecting a serum. This serum doesn't work on Divergent.

With long extra ordinary act of bravery, she destroyed the system and The Abnegation was safe. But this system was not fully destroyed yet. With her brother as one of Erudite, there may be chance for him to do his faction's mission. 

This movie hasn't ended yet. Just yet. There are three books of the Divergent series; Divergent, Insurgent, and Allegiant. The following Insurgent will be released on March 2015 and Allegiant on March 2016. The shooting of Insurgent will start on May 2014. Read the book if you wanna more about the story. Highly recommended;)

HELLO! WE ARE  FACING EXAMS. FOR THE VIXEN'S SAKE.

School has been so frustrating and tiring lately. Two things that can entertain us, MOVIE AND BOOK.
If we don't have any test, we will make movie marathon, on our own, of course.

Besides, Farand and I are currently reading books from two famous authors.
Farand is reading Allegiant, the third series of Veronica Roth's Divergent Trilogy. While myself, is reading Paper Towns by John Green.

I've recently watched Romeo and Juliet; Douglas Booth and Hailee Steinfield version.Cliche but still tearjerking.

Surprisingly, by the time I finished this post, we'd done our exam! We NAILED IT.
Now that we have extra time to prepare for the finals and read some more books and watch more movies! I've finished Paper Towns and Farand seemed has finished Allegiant, too. Review comes soon. (I hope so) :D

There are great movies coming in the future, so I think we'll be post some of them. After finals we have little gap month, which can be used to develop our little website.

To be honest, the main reason I watch this movie is Asa Butterfield was one of the cast. But then it led me to moral values, virtues, and history.
Set during World War II, Bruno, 8 year old Bruno, son of commandant at a concentration camp, seeing the truth. He got his eyes opened unconsciously after met Jew boy, Schmuel, who happened to be one of the prisoner.
He lived in Berlin, then moved to elsewhere, due to his father’s promotion. Her mother had never known if the camp was sort of their ‘backyard’. Bruno’s sister, became so nationalist after studying with their private tutor.
Bruno visited his friend everyday, gave him some food and play. His loving parents never knew. His father decided that it was unsafe for the children to live there, so the children and their mother was intended to be moved away.
When they intended to go, Bruno gave his last visit to his friend to the camp. Their brief friendship came to a final, when Bruno helped Schmuel looked for his father. He took of his clothes and wore the striped pajamas, the ‘uniform’ at the camp.
It was rainy, the prisoners were sent to a hut, included Bruno and Schmuel. Bruno thought they were treated like this to protect them from rain. They didn’t know where all this can come.
They were asked to take off their clothes and locked in a chamber gas room, when Nazi burns Jew. Apparently, Bruno and Schmuel were the unlucky ones,too.
His family were looking for him, but it was all too late. Bruno’s clothes was found behind the fence. Her mother cried in rain. His father grieved.
The plot was so real. And the camp was real too. The movie was a bit creepy, but it lets us know about the past, which was so sad. I was crying a lot.
Through innocent eyes of Bruno, humanity and equality are common things, no need to be fought for.
This movie is to tearsjerking, just be prepared.
